The term Corporate Social Responsibility has been gaining importance and presence in different media in recent years. Both companies, society, and consumers value work in this area positively, but what is CSR really? How does Arce Clima work with this concept?
As a result of our participation in the “Reacciona” program of the Government of Galicia, we began to give shape and meaning to all our social responsibility actions, a relatively modern aspect in terms of nomenclature, but traditional for our company.
CSR is the commitment and obligations that an organization assumes with the rest of the stakeholders. This must be done voluntarily, assuming a step further, not only in search of their own benefit but also in that of their environment.
After years of implementing different CSR actions and measures, Arce Clima launches its Actúa program.
What is Actúa?
Actúa is the comprehensive Social Responsibility Management program of the company that collects all actions, focusing them on five major areas of work, and under the umbrella of the Integrated Management System. These five groups shape everything and are born with the definition of the interest groups, establishing objectives and goals.
Actúa ECO
In addition to having an environmental management model certified under ISO 14001, Arce Clima has a program that promotes the development and care of the environment.
Within Actúa ECO, there is room for actions, such as waste collection, under the umbrella of the corporate volunteering policy of Arce Clima. Other actions are the purchase of sustainable materials, segregated waste management, and awareness-raising actions through campaigns and training in this area.
Actúa JOVEN
As part of the planet’s future, the launch of Actúa Joven focuses on the training of new generations to offer new tools for incorporation into the current labor market.
Some of the actions carried out in Actúa Joven are the Dual Training Program of Arce Clima and The New Talent Program. These two branches allow younger people to find a gateway to the labor market.
Actúa DEPORTE
Actúa Deporte promotes sport and healthy living through sponsorship programs for inclusive sporting events. In addition, those actions are collected and aimed at the organization’s workers within this area, offering alternatives and training and sensitizing them through awareness programs and healthy life training.
Actúa SOCIAL
In response to the social needs of our main stakeholders, Actúa Social was born. Thanks to this program, we create actions focused on supporting social challenges in different areas.
In this area, we include work actions with NGOs, food collections, donation programs, labor conciliation, and the defense of equality and diversity.
Actúa CULTURA
Through initiatives aimed at protecting and popularizing culture and art, we launch Actúa Cultura. The goal is to defend culture, acting Arce Clima as a speaker to give visibility and maintain these customs through sponsorships of events and local festivals.
