The Diversity Charter serves as a manifesto promoting 10 European principles that reflect companies’ and institutions’ commitment to workplace equality. Whether through gender, age, disability, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or any other individual, social, or cultural identity, signatories of this movement recognize and value diversity as a key asset to sustainable business success.
What is the Diversity Charter, exactly?
The Diversity Charter is a pledge adopted by companies and institutions within a country, across all sizes and sectors.By doing so, they commit to promoting workplace equality, diversity, and inclusion.
This initiative urges companies and institutions to commit to advancing diversity and inclusion, joining a network of private and public organizations united by these principles across European workplaces.
The Diversity Foundation drives the Diversity Charter in Spain, supported by the European Commission and EU member states’ national charters, fostering inclusive workplace practices. Over 1,600 organizations have joined this initiative across Spain and 16,000 EU-wide.

What are the ten principles of the Diversity Charter?
The Diversity Charter’s ten principles are:
