In Arce Clima, we are in luck. This year we have not only renewed our quality certificate ISO 9001, but we have gone one step further, certifying ourselves in two new standards. Today we want to give you more details about one of our new certifications in particular: ISO 14001.

The standard ISO 14001 provides a framework for protecting the environment and responding to changing environmental conditions, in balance with socio-economic needs, by specifying requirements for an environmental management system that enables the organization to improve its environmental performance.

This new certification is the answer to the concerns and needs of our customers. It represents a further degree in the awareness of respect and protection for the environment throughout the life cycle of our service.

To obtain this certification and ensure its effectiveness, Arce Clima has always counted its main stakeholders (customers, suppliers, and employees).

General objectives for the implementation of ISO 14001

At the time of the implementation of this new standard, it is important to highlight the general objectives:

• Prevent and reduce the impact of our activity on the environment.
• Improve compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Improve environmental performance.

• Control the life cycle of our services, helping to prevent the environmental load from shifting to another place in the cycle.
• Achieve to implement environmental alternatives respectful with the environment, strengthening Arce Clima’s position in the market.
• Reduce the consumption of resources, avoid their waste, and proceed to their correct segregation if there is a waste.

Actions implemented in the field of the environment.

The path towards obtaining this new certification has helped us review all the existing environmental procedures in Arce Clima to date. It has been an opportunity to create value from various points, among which we highlight:

• Development of environmental policy and objectives.
• Environmental emergency plan design.
• Measurement and control of all resource consumption. (water, electricity, fuel, paper, etc.)
• In-company training in environmental matters for 100% of the workforce

• Study of threats and opportunities, as well as legal compliance obligations.
• Drafting of a Manual of Good Environmental Practices.

Environmental Objectives 2021 

Although the general objectives are already beginning to be reflected at the moment of their implementation, it is important to publicize the objectives that we have defined for the year 2021, concerning the year 2020.

• Reduce fuel consumption by 5%
• Reduce electricity consumption by 10% in the main offices
