At Arce Clima, we are aware of the importance of protecting the environment and recognise the need for companies to contribute to a more sustainable world. In addition to our ISO 14001 certified environmental management model, we have launched an initiative called Act ECO, which promotes the development and care of our planet. 

It includes actions such as waste collection, which falls under the umbrella of the Arce Clima Corporate Volunteer Policy; the purchase of sustainable materials; and awareness and sensitization campaigns and training on this matter. Some examples of Actúa ECO initiatives include ‘Donate your old mobile,’ ‘Solidarity caps,’ and ‘ Clothes reuse at work ‘.

Furthermore, in 2022 we digitized our business processes, resulting in a reduction of 800 kilograms of paper consumption and an avoidance of 18 tons of CO2 emissions per year. ‘Sustainability is a fundamental factor for Arce Clima. Our mission is to develop air conditioning installations based on thermal comfort and efficiency,’ explains Carlos López Pampín, the company’s director. 

One of our latest environmental measures has been the installation of 120 solar panels, with a capacity of 450 Wp each, on the roof of our headquarters in A Coruña. This installation allows us to generate clean and renewable energy. Here are some of the details regarding the installation: 

• Energy saving potential: 34,239 kWh per year (65% of the energy produced by the photovoltaic installation -> 26.25% of the total energy consumed by Arce Clima). 

• Estimate of annual energy discharged into the electricity grid: 18,437kWh (35% of the energy produced by the photovoltaic installation). 

But what are the advantages of installing solar panels in our company? 

• Reduction of CO2 emissions: Installing solar panels allows us to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to the fight against climate change by generating renewable energy. 
• Energy independence: The installation of solar panels reduces our dependence on fossil fuels and increases our capacity to generate our own energy. 
• Longevity: Solar panels have a useful life of around 25 years, making them a reliable source of energy in the long term. 

• Quick amortization: The investment in solar panels translates into significant savings on the electricity bill, which allows for the initial investment to be recovered relatively quickly.
