One of Arce Clima’s axes in these almost thirty years of development has been our firm and constant commitment to a clear philosophy of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). From the beginning, our business culture has been focused on generating a positive impact both in our closest environment (customers, team, suppliers…), and in a global scenario (environment, sustainability, and society in general…) .
With the aim of going one step further and collecting, grouping and organizing all the CSR measures carried out by this company, in 2021 we launched the “ACTÚA program”, in which we have 5 large work areas for the implementation of CSR actions: ECO, YOUTH, SPORTS, SOCIAL and CULTURE. We are constantly thinking of and implementing initiatives that allow us to contribute to creating a better world. In this blog post, we tell you about some of the most recent ones.
Corporate backpacks made with recycled plastic
We apply our sustainable purchasing policy in each installation and project that our team undertakes, but also in small details, such as our new corporate backpacks, made with RPET. And you may be wondering… what’s RPET? RPET stands for polyethylene terephthalate, a material that is obtained from recycled plastic (in this case bottles) to give it a second life and look after our environment.
Obtaining RPET begins at the recycling plant, where the materials are sorted by color and shape, are sterilized, have their labels removed, and are ready to go to the weaving factory. The result is a sustainable product such as our corporative backpacks, which also includes a USB port, allowing charging electronic devices.
The mobile blood donation unit (ADOS) visited Arce Clima
The mobile unit of the Organ and Blood Donation Agency (ADOS) came to our headquarters in A Coruña, located in the Alvedro Industrial Park. Throughout the morning of September 7th, both Arce Clima’s team and anyone who just walked in were able to join and donate. This great initiative came from one of our employees. Every drop counts and this team is very proud of their contribution.
STANDARD certificate 100 by OEKO-TEX®
Most of Arce Clima’s workwear has been granted the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificate. It is the most well-known ecological label worldwide and guarantees that the fabrics have been analyzed against more than 300 harmful substances. By compelling with this process, we avoid possible reactions and contraindications that these hazardous substances might cause to whoever wears the piece of clothing. The study of these garments takes into account both regulated and unregulated substances that could be harmful to our health, as well as preventive parameters.
100% electric vehicle test
Recently, we have had the opportunity to incorporate 100% electric vehicles into our fleet. It was a testing phase to check the advantages and limitations of implementing this type of car into Arce Clima’s daily activities.
We continue to work day by day so that our company is a benchmark in CSR and to be able to pay back a little of how much our world and society give us.
