Installation elements and other services are located on the 5th floor plus water and electricity, where the climatization system of the whole building is controlled. For this reason, designing and installing the whole climatization system of the store was one of our main duties, providing regulation and control solutions which verify the proper functioning of the installation and electric consumption.
All designed to be able to meet the rigorous LEED standards which require this kind of installations. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design with the “American independent touch” in green building constructions.
Key points to take into consideration in this project:
- Client requirements regarding convenience and ease to use the equipment installed by the store staff. It was also fundamental to consider each of the elements that are part of this installation in order for them to be remotely selected and in real time.
- Restrictions to consider since it is a LEED certification installation besides the fact that energetic efficiency remains pivotal within the project.

What regulation and control solutions were chosen for this project?
In this case, it was necessary to opt for the required development of regulation and control solutions in order to monitor the air conditions and temperature of each floor.
The climatization system of the installation entirely falls into a centralized panel of control which was designed specifically to gather in one system different installation needs. This system is in charge of:
- Air conditions (air quality, temperature, humidity) of different floors of the building. Four floors for commercial use and two for warehouse and staff zones with 4375 square meters.
- Climate control machines working properly, in this case the chosen ones were the VRH Hitachi with more than fifty three interior units distributed all along the building.
- Register of equipment electric consumption in order to verify that an efficient energy consumption use was being undertaken so that store climatization remained at good levels.
Success of the system lies in the adequate programming of the panel of control which allows for guaranteeing ideal conditions of the building´s interior, keeping low energy consumptions which, in fact, remains as a very important factor considering the size of the building.
