Climate change is a challenge that requires both individual and collective action. At Arce Clima, we understand the impact that businesses have in creating a better planet. That’s why environmental stewardship is deeply integrated into our company culture and is a key focus of our agenda. Our commitment to sustainability is displayed in the Actúa ECO program. Recently, we have taken another important stride in this direction by joining the “Galician Climate Alliance”. This alliance has joined various organizations within the Galician community, working collaboratively towards a sustainable future.  

The “Galician Climate Alliance” is an initiative aimed at fostering collaboration and implementing coordinated measures to generate synergies in climate action in Galicia. This alliance brings together organizations from various sectors that are dedicated and committed towards environmental improvement, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and moving forward with the 2030 Agenda.  

The main goal of this initiative is to provide a response to the climate challenges we are currently facing. Its objective is to safeguard, preserve, and enhance Galicia’s natural resources, as well as the health and well-being of its citizens, along with environmental risks and impacts. Here are some of the challenges it seeks to address:  

Fight against climate change: 

It aims to bring together Galician entities committed to climate action in order to improve the impact of their actions. 

Common commitment:  

This initiative advocates for a visible commitment from the different organizations involved. They will collectively define prioritized strategies and common initiatives that contribute to resolving Galicia’s main environmental problems.  

Efficient management:  

The project aims to identify factors, knowledge gaps, and management challenges that restrain organizations from embracing environmental commitments.  

Environmental improvement:  

It promotes initiatives that enhance the environmental practices of organizations. This includes establishing a system for exchanging best practices and publicly recognizing their contributions to improving the environment.  

Being part of this network of organizations engaged in fighting climate change, improving the environment, and promoting the circular economy is a source of pride for the entire Arce Clima team.
