This time we are going to tell you about works carried out for commercial premises which some of you may have visited at some point.
The Bundestag, a sustainable building in the heart of Europe
The Reichstag, known also as the Busdestag (German Parliament, it is considered a meeting place with a very long history in which it has not always had crowd approval. Its construction finished in 1984, following a neorenaissance style. However, the building burnt down in 1933 due to an intentional fire which still remains anonymous nowadays. Also, during the Second World War it suffered really severe damages during the Battle of Berlin.
Maintenance management through a CMMS system
It is normally commented on the blog the kind of installations which are taken on in each specialisation area. Works carried out by Arce are emphasized and potential solutions for each project are proposed. However, today we would like to mention the importance of industrial installations maintenance.
Smoke detection systems via aspiration
In order to choose the most suitable fire detection system in our installations, two questions should be answered: 1. What kind of installation is going to be protected? 2. Under what circumstances should the fire protection system start working?
Industrial refrigeration: the magic of thermodynamics
The industrial refrigeration concept concerns the technological activity of designing, manufacturing and installing refrigeration machines as well as maintenance of such installations. It is an area of expertise that has been key in the development of human beings and played a major role in helping boost the food industry as this technique is nowadays being used for over 40% of total food manufacturing.
Geothermic heat pumps: a clean and efficient alternative for a climate control installation
Today, we would like to talk about geothermal energy applied to building climatisation. This type of energy has been already discussed on other occasions. However, if this is the first time you visit our blog, we would like to remind you that geothermics is a Greek word that comes from “geos” (Earth) and “thermos” (heat) which could be translated as “heat released by the Earth”.
Special buildings: Bullitt Center
We are starting a new section on this blog. Our idea for this series of articles is to present various special buildings located all over the world. Each construction mentioned in this section will be there for a reason and shall be an example of excellence construction wise. Reasons? Energetic efficiency and sustainability rarely seen in recent times impossible designs perfectly executed or master solutions in the face of challenging projects.
Regulation and control solutions in climatization systems
Again, another big challenge was tackled by Arce Clima; Zara flag ship store that Inditex group opened in Coruña early September this year. A massive 5000 square meters store divided into basement, ground floor and six floors; four of them for commercial use.
Heat pumps in climatization
When a climatization system of an installation is tackled it is probable that the system will have to carry out a double-function; on the one hand, heat losses that come about in the coldest times of year have to be compensated and on the other hand, being able to minimize the heat effect in summer times. Depending on the climatology of each area, the temperature shift does not necessarily have to be really big. However, in places with huge temperature differences, the systems do have to work extra in order to keep the equipment standards correct.
Case study: Zara; custom-made pieces for air conditioning installations
One of the challenges Arce Clima face every day is to assemble the most efficient installations which best adapt to the construction needs without conflicting the design and decoration proposed for each project.
