there was a double objective for this project as we had to install the climate control system and a mini refrigerant central for the beer tank refrigeration. The main purpose was to make the system work both automatically and manually allowing the brewery staff to make adjustments.
If works are usually very demanding, this one went even further due to the exhaustive quality control undertaken at the CERN. Qualifications of the employees which are part of the project and installation requirements. There was also a great document demand in which detail level of plans was so high. In these works, there was close collaboration with the Ventilation department of the CERN. The main purpose was the climate control installation for the magnet laboratory of the research centre. We developed the design of all systems which are part of the building together, solving technical problems and aiming to achieve an optimal design. Mission accomplished.
Since there was no other similar venue in A Coruña, being able to carry out this large-scale project is always challenging and fulfilling for the team. The flagship Zara store in A Coruña was a fast moving project which required 50 air conditioning units for the perfect operation of the climate control installation. The two key elements of this installation were: finding solutions to deal with space constraints and without interfering with the design and equipment set up accuracy. Careful consideration was taken as wrong programming in equipment configuration would mean incorrect operation of the whole store. Thus, the installation had to meet the high standards of the architectural design. Arce Clima was able to design an installed control system in which the operation of the installation is controlled from the central control board. A room located in the building which allows to know, at all times, the temperature of each area of the store as well as having overall satisfaction. This is a very important point due to large number of units in the installation as in case of breakdowns, allows for identifying the error.
The main challenge of this project was the smoke extraction installation system. Iberica works in a fast-paced environment so we had to deliver a seamless kitchen. The restaurant addressed special architectonic requirements so the design provided an open kitchen and most of the HVAC installation would be visible. Duct work was adapted to the available room with custom sized pieces. Due to the tight ceiling to duct distance, special elements were used in order to minimize this constraint. The fact that this restaurant is located in an old auction house should not go unnoticed as it is a historical building with special construction requirements. Despite of these features, the project was delivered on time and on budget.
Arce Climate carried out the climate control installation of Zara Opera which is located in the heart of Paris. Arce Clima performed this 4000 square metres project in a historical building which was being renovated while the works took place. Vital to this process was the interaction with the concept designer which allowed us to choose the best system alternatives and ultimately implement them. The construction had t start before the design was complete. A major challenge on this project was that the design required that the smoke extraction grills are not visible after numerous owner changes which were incorporated into the design and construction. In fact, due to rapidness and expertise of the team, we managed to finish the project within 6 months according to schedule. Today, one can enjoy a flagship store of Zara group in the centre of Paris.
